Planning a wedding is a stressful thing to do - anyone who has been married already will able to confirm that. Of course, you're happy that you've finally found someone special to spend the rest of your life with, but you feel the pressure to make sure the big event is as special as the wedding day you have dreamed of since you were a small child. Most brides-to-be just make up the planning process as they go along, and hope for the best, but is that really a good idea?

You'll probably have read in magazines about how celebrities call in professional wedding planners to take care of the details of their wedding day and thought how wonderful that would be. Well, convenient, yes, but expensive too! Unless you have a fortune to spend on your wedding, you're basically on your own when it comes to the planning of it. With a wedding directory though, you'll have a tool that will make your job significantly easier.

A wedding directory is basically a streamlined business phonebook. Streamlined in that all service providers that aren't relevant to the wedding planning process have been removed from it. So, you'll find wedding venues, caterers and florists in it, but not plumbers, vets or electrical stores. It's no exaggeration to say that with a wedding directory and a phone, you can plan your whole wedding from your favorite chair in your living room!

Just like phonebooks have gone online in recent years, so have wedding directories. That means that you don't have to waste time flipping backwards and forwards through hundreds of pages and you don't have to find / order a directory that is specific to your town / city, as one good online wedding directory will cover all of the big towns and cities in your country. Just log on, type in your zip code, and off you go!

It is also worth pointing out that a wedding directory is more than just a list of names and phone numbers. You can also find details of what exactly a service does and read reviews left by people who have used that service before. That means that rather than having to just randomly pick service providers, you can make educated choices based on the reputation that they built up.
